The Texas based Institute for Public Health and Water Research (IPWR) is a not-for-profit, independent science and education organization that aims to improve public health through the consumption of quality drinking water. The IPWR provides scientific direction, funds and other support to investigators in the United States and a number of developing countries to encourage research, publications and meetings.

The overview and strategy of the IWPR science programme is posted on the IPWR website. The content addresses socio-economic and health issues associated with water deprivation and inadequate drinking water quality.
