KWR is an independent water research institute based in The Netherlands. It was formed in 2008 by expansion from Kiwa Water Research, which had specialised in drinking water research and development with the Dutch water companies as its shareholders. The KWR joint research programme focuses on: delivery of reliable and high quality drinking; maintaining the consumers’ trust in drinking water; and environmental impacts on drinking water sources.
