FISH-FARM CHEMICALS: DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF METH0DS FOR THE ANALYSIS OF ANTI-MICROBIAL COMPOUNDS PRD 1216-M
Report No DWI0026

Dec 1986

SUMMARY

Methods were developed for analysis of four anti-microbial compounds commonly used on fish farms for disease control. Application of these at three locations where fish farms were dosing with anti-microbial compounds, showed the presence of small amounts of the compounds in fish-farm effluent and river water samples. This study formed part of a project on the identification of non-volatiles in water funded by the Department of the Environment whose permission to publish has been received.
